Yep, that's Mike cook'n up a fine breakfast, starting the day out right! This photo was taken along the trail on our way into the Marble Mountains.  If we choose a late start, we will often camp at some convenient place along the way and finish the trek the next morning.

This is where we picketed the horses during a drop-camp expadition to the Caribou Lakes in the middle of the Trinity Alps Wilderness. On the approach into the Caribou Lakes in the Trinity Alps Wilderness.  The horses and our camp in the first photo are about center, behind the tall trees in this photo.

This photo is of a campsite located just off the Pacific Crest Trail of Northern California.

Jensine Mosier:

Jensine and one of our pack teams, Blackjack, Montana, and Dundee, are standing in a meadow we discovered together.  Located deep in the Trinity Alps Wilderness, I would estimate this meadow to be somewhere around a thousand acres.  (The photo shows but a sliver of the meadow, at the point where we entered it.)

This meadow is surrounded by clear (to the bottom) trout infested lakes, springs, and a crystal stream.  The entire valley is ringed by majestic high rocky crags and bald faced mountains.  Formidable challenges for most rock climbers and good practice for the more experienced.

Spring comes late in the mountains.  Starting in late July through the middle of September you will find this valley lush with flowers and wildlife.
